Restoration of the railway buildings was made possible by grants from the Railway Heritage Trust and the Stations Community Regeneration Fund:
“The Railway Heritage Trust has been proud to sponsor the restoration of a series of railway-owned listed buildings in Fife, and is always looking for new projects that meet its objectives, which are defined on its web site www.railwayheritagetrust.co.uk.
Our aim is to make the railway an engine of social and economic regeneration… we will build on the ScotRail Station Adoption Scheme which is already in place, helping to train volunteers and support them in gaining vocational qualifications, support the Station Communities Regeneration Fund for improvements to stations, enabling small or community interest companies to use empty station space.
Visit www.scotrail.co.uk to learn more about Scotrail in the Community, our new initiative to develop opportunities for the local community, in keeping with our successful station adoption schemes.”
The website and leaflet was part funded by the ACoRP/Transport Scotland Small Grants Fund.
